So Plum94 can you?.

I still am looking at making a AR in .458 socom.

So how much would it cost for you to load some rounds including brass, primers, powder, and Hornady FTX bullets'.?

I’ll look into it.

Any bullet casting guys here?

I seem to have a bit too much lead and would like to give some away. I collect wheel weights, manually sort out the zinc and steel, melt the lead ones down and pour them into molds. The ingots are about a pound each. Some are mini muffin, some are made in an RCBS mold while others are done with home made angle iron molds (triangle)

It’s for anyone who wants free lead for casting

25-06 suggestions?

I’ve got a fairly new Savage 25-06. I want to say it’s 5 years old. So far I’ve found it likes 120 GameKings over 50.2 H4831SC. I don’t have my notebook handy right now but I do know they come out pretty darn fast. That makes me wonder if they will open up enough on a deer at shorter distance (under 350 yards). It’s quite accurate, giving me 3” groups at 600. Interestingly my electric ear muffs don’t reset before bullet hits steel at 600 like they do with my 270 or 30-06.

should I try RL22 and/or heavier bullets? I wish I could remember the twist rate

I wish I could help you out. But when it comes to reloading I know nothing.
