This looks to be a nice place to hang around, so I think I'll bookmark it!

I'm a retired electronics & electrical engineer, retired from a Tribal Utility company. When I left, I spent my savings on additional education - as a Gunsmith. It's fun stuff, and I love fine machinery, and helping it to keep running correctly.

In the course of my career I learned a lot of things, on the job and reading books, and most of them were a lot of fun to learn and do. Things like welding, running a mill and lathe, operating a loader and backhoe (I have a rather nice one), and engineering concrete and steel structures to create electrical substations.

Over the years I've managed major projects and small, sold parts in a Yamaha store (I'm a certified 5-Star Technician in all product lines), made pizza and waited table, taught math and…
