So I got sighted in yesterday so I am ready for opening day.
We have been seeing more deer this year then normall so I should be able to get some meat.
I also have been seeing a BIG buck in the back feild but as we all know he will be hiding as soon as he hears the first shot. But maybe the first shot will be me shooting at him.
It does not look like they are in rut yet and I have not seen any rubs or scrapes so far but I have not spent allot of time looking due to the "I need this gun done before season" gun work. WHY does every one wait so long to get there gun fixed?.
But we do have some very big does this year.
I can not wait to opening day.
Are you all ready?.

So Saterday night was a full moon but decided to go out anyway on Sunday and at 8am a big doe walked up and now she is going in the feezer. YEA!!!!! After fighting the wind all week it was calm and cold. Perfict for them to move. When I shot I saw a BUNCH of tails going in all directions.
Well It is 5am and sitting drinking a cup og joe waiting to get ready to go out. No rain but it rained so it will be easy to get to the stand with out making a noise.
Hope I see something.
Looks like the weather will coroperate and it will now be dry but not cold only in the 40s. And light wind so we will see.
So I went out to set up a stand with my best friend (last friday) on my new land. (Another 10 acares) and we saw LOTS of rubs and scrapes. So I took a walk yesterday just to check on my stand and there are rubs and scrapes everywhere. Nothing on big trees and not that high up on the trees so I think it is a small buck acting like a big shot.
It is suppose to rain on opening day but thats ok I will be in my condo in the sky so I will be warm and dry laughing at the other hunters getting wet.
The rut started late this year so I will go out no matter what the weather is just to see what moves by.
